Disadvantages of Medicare Advantage Plans

While enrollment in Medicare Advantage plans, also known as Medicare C, has doubled over the past decade, there are some drawbacks with this form of Medicare.

There are three types of Medicare. Original Medicare, Part A and Part B; Original Medicare Part A and Part B with a Medigap Plan and Medicare Advantage Plan which is a form of HMO. Original Medicare has predictable costs in coverage, Medicare Advantage has unpredictable costs in coverage.
